Contado, ninguém acredita. Então, foi publicado o vídeo de um acidente ocorrido na cidade de Corona, Califórnia, Estados Unidos, que gerou impressionantes consequências. Chain Arunritthirot, piloto de uma motocicleta Honda CBR600RR, tentava ingressar em uma rodovia, quando foi atingido pelo motorista de um Honda Odyssey.

Em um evento conhecido por lá pela expressão "hit and run", o causador do acidente não parou para prestar socorro à vitima. Pelo contrário: mesmo com a motocicleta ficando presa na dianteira de seu veículo, o motorista continuou sua viagem como se nada tivesse acontecido.

Uma testemunha, que estava passando pelo local, sacou seu smartphone e passou a perseguir o infrator e filmar sua fuga. As imagens são impressionantes: o atrito da motocicleta com o asfalto gerou faíscas por todos os lados. Um vazamento de combustível e tudo poderia acabar em uma enorme explosão ou simples incêndio.

Graças ao registro em vídeo, o motorista foi identificado: trata-se de George Valentin, de 25 anos. Apesar da gravidade do acidente, e de ser arremessado e pousar no meio da rodovia a 60 metros do local da colisão, o piloto da motocicleta sofreu apenas escoriações, já que estava vestido com equipamento de proteção especial para motociclistas.

Para a surpresa de ninguém, Kazunori Yamauchi, CEO da Polyphony Digital, anunciou, durante a coletiva de imprensa da Sony para a relevação da quinta geração do console PlayStation, que a sétima série da franquia Gran Turismo está a caminho.

Com uma interface que relembra o estilo do Gran Turismo 4, mas com um ícone do Brand Central em vez de bandeiras de países espalhadas pelo mapa, Gran Turismo 7 também terá a estreia do BAC Mono e de alguns carros icônicos da Porsche, como o 917K, o Carrera GT e o 911 GT1 Evo, além do retorno do Daytona International Speedway e de uma pista fictícia muito requisitada: Trial Mountain.
