A General Motors criou vários carros-conceito no início dos anos 1990, com um design que a marca pensava ser uma antevisão dos veículos do futuro. O trabalho foi tão bem feito que os carros participaram de um filme de 1993, cujo roteiro se passava em 2032, chamado "Demolition Man", mais conhecido no Brasil como "O Demolidor".

Pois, mais de trinta anos depois da criação de um destes carros-conceito, o Cadillac Aurora, parece que a General Motors não soube muito bem cuidá-lo, pois, de acordo com fotografias tiradas por um "espião automotivo", há várias marcas e buracos na carroceria e acabamentos. E é provável que a marca tenha tomado a pior decisão de todas: demoli-lo.
