Por ser um carro movido totalmente à propulsão elétrica, o Tesla Model S P90D é um carro que não emite poluentes quando se locomove. Só que este não é um argumento convincente para a Secretaria de Transportes de Singapura.

A agência emitiu a Joe Nguyen, proprietário de um carro elétrico produzido por Elon Musk, uma multa no valor de 15.000 dólares singapurenses, por entender que o carro está no ranking dos maiores poluidores do meio ambiente.

Joe Nguyen gastou vários meses tentando importar para Singapura um Tesla Model S P90D que ele comprou em Hong Kong. Depois de passar tanto trabalho, nem passava pela sua cabeça que a Secretaria de Transportes local iria multá-lo por seu carro poluir demais, mesmo sem possuir sistema de exaustão.

Toda esta história não soa contraditória? Bem, então precisamos entender mais a fundo as razões que levaram a agência a chegar a esta conclusão.
