0 to 350 in 250 seconds. The new General Electric 500XL.

0 to 350 in 250 seconds. Our new General Electric 500XL cooks just as fast as it looks. In fact, there's hardly another range in its class that can beat it. Inside or outside. Which is why our GE dealers de-cided to give it their highest accolade. By placing a removable racing stripe on its front. Fast looks and fast cooking, however, aren't all this range has going for it. It also cleans fast. Automatically. With our unique P-rself-cleaning oven. Over one million GE P-7 self-cleaning oven-ranges have already been sold. And it's no mystery why. P-7, unlike some other self-cleaning ovens, never needs to be cleaned by hand. Everything is cleaned electrically; oven walls, shelves, floor, inner door, even the reflector pans from the surface units. A few last things about our 500XL speed demon you should know about. Like the custom black and chrome instrument panel. That has a vinyl woodgrain light shield. (It protects your eyes from glare when the panel's illuminated.) Drive over to your General Electric range dealer. And ask him to show you our 500XL. In avocado, harvest, coppertone or white. One more thing. This is a limited edition. So wheel one out soon. GE SERVICE Seldom needed, always nearby.

You can't expect a mere car to do all the things a International Harvester Scout can.

You can't expect a mere car to do all the things a International Harvester Scout can. Snowdrifts, bumpy roads, big loads —those are just some of the times that anything less than an International® Scout® just won't do. Outfitted to out-perform ordinary cars. Scout does more because it has more. Like 4- wheel drive for muddy back trails and snow-packed neighbor-hood streets. And the same extra-strong engine we use in our 2 V, -ton trucks —so pulling a boat or trailer is no problem. Guts from the ground up. Scout is designed especially as a sports/utility vehicle. The all-welded steel box frame resists distortion better than riveted frames. Heavy-duty axles permit Scout to carry heavier loads than any station wagon. And even with that big inside cargo space, Scout's outside dimensions permit easy maneuvering in tough spots. A solid selection. Choose from four different Scouts. The basic, versatile Scout® II. The Scout Traveler,® with extra space and towing power. The sporty Scout® SSII. Or Scout Terra®—our hard-drivin: do-it-all pick-up. So don't send a car to do a Scout's job. Visit your Inter-national Harvester Scout Dealer and test drive a Scout soon. Be-cause anything less is just a car.
