Put 10'' more threshing capacity to work ...PUT $844 SAVINGS IN YOUR POCKET
Good news here, with that big fall harvest looming ! It's this: You can get the Case 600 combine, with its extra-heavy 40-inch cylinder and 10-foot header, for about $844 LESS than the cost of a leading 30-inch combine. The big cash advantage isn't all you'll get. The Case 600's big cylinder feeds a huge separating area of over 31 square feet, with cleaning capacity to match. Plenty of overhead clearance for weedy bean crops—a big, variable-speed fan under the sieves to see that nothing but a clean sample goes into the bin. And you get a tailings check at your elbow—on-the-go

concave adjustment right from the seat. A high-speed, 500-stroke-per-minute sickle and left-hand drives to prevent shattering loss. That, plus the gentle handling of your beans by rubber flights in the elevator, improves your yield. Your wheel treads fit the rows perfectly. The 10-foot header spans 3 rows of beans. Or with the 13-footer, you can handle 4 rows at every pass. Think it over. The money and the hours you can save. The better, fuller yield from your crop. The prospect of sailing into the harvest with a spanking-new, dependable machine. Then call your Case dealer. * Manufacturer's suggested list price FOB factory for Case Model 600 combine with 10' header, exclusive of dealer handling charge, federal, state or local taxes. "I changed to John Deere because the float-spring-equipped platform helps shave most beans off the ground."

The switch is on. The Long Green Line... Leadership in product and service... today and tomorrow. 'I changed to John Deere because the float-spring-equipped platform helps shave most beans off the ground' Ohio farmer Clemence Meyer farms near Bellevue. In October of 1971 he took delivery of a John Deere 6600 Combine with 15-foot platform and 4-row 443 corn head. He traded in a 1971 combine of another make. Meyer says: 'I changed to John Deere for the float-spring platform and better crop cleaning. This is a better spring-action floating head because it goes up and over stones, and follows irregular ground better so save more beans. The head floats on springs and has wear plates below. It won't gouge in the ground; that helps keep dirt out of the grain. Since the head floats, I can even go crossways in dead furrows. In 1971 I harvested 300 acres of beans and will do about 200 acres in 1972. 'This 6600 Combine does a much better job of cleaning the crop. Compared to the other make combine I traded, I believe the 6600 has a longer cleaning shoe, and a lower fan to take dirt out. The upper sieve fingers are longer and I don't have to open the sieve so far. I ordered Perforated boots for such places as the clean-grain elevator to help remove weed seeds:' The switch is on to John Deere Combines. Shouldn't a John Deere be your next combine? Ask your neighbor. And see your John Deere dealer soon for more details.

It's new Power Rear-Wheel Drive for the John Deere 7700 Combine equipped with hydrostatic ground drive. Available as a factory-installed option. Power Rear-Wheel Drive makes it easy to turn on needed traction You can engage or disengage the drive on the go with a toggle switch. Power Rear-Wheel Drive helps you power through soft or wet spots that otherwise could cause you to spin to a standstill. The drive may be engaged even with the front wheels spinning. You can anticipate bad spots and use the drive to help move on through. Use this rear-wheel drive some or all of the time; • engage or disengage it at will. On a slope or side hill with the rear drive engaged, there's less tendency for rear wheels to slip sideways. New Power Rear-Wheel Drive is fully hydrostatic. The drive is an integral part of the combine hydrostatic system. Design is clean and eye appealing. Motors are tucked neatly into the rear wheels. Planetary reduction gears in the motors deliver smooth power. There's a massive rear axle assembly with the new drive. Weighing almost 2,000 Pounds more than the regular rear axle, the heavier assembly eliminates the need for rear weights. Rear tire options include 12.4-24 and 14.9-24 in cleat or cane-rice tread.
