Chevrolet Camaro fica sem freios, sai da pista e para na estrada durante corrida que antecedeu as 12 Horas de Sebring

O piloto Tristan Herbert, da Tristan Herbert Racing, durante a primeira etapa da temporada 2016 da Historic Trans-Am, que serviu de suporte às 12 Horas de Sebring, quando se aproximou da curva sete, ficou sem freios, passando reto pela área de escape.

Com o carro desgovernado, não restou outra alternativa, a não ser tentar conduzir o veículo até ele parar. Só que, como ele vinha muito rápido, o embalo foi suficiente para arrebentar um portão e parar no meio da estrada de acesso ao circuito.

E o que aconteceu depois? Bem, o piloto teve que retornar à pista com seu carro de corrida, pelo mesmo trajeto que os motoristas percorrem com seus veículos de passeio.

E o condutor daquele caminhão deve ter pensado: "imagine se eu gasto dois segundos a mais para escovar meus dentes...".

The 1973 Chevrolet Vega GT. Building a better way to see the USA. SUPERVEGA Not faster than a speeding bullet. Not more powerful than a locomotive.
