ATS Sport 1000

A marca italiana ATS renasceu, e com ela, um projeto de carro de dois lugares com o objetivo de ser usado em track days. O ATS Sport 1000 foi concebido para recriar um carro de corrida dos anos 1960, com chassis em aço inoxidável, com paineis em alumínio e partes em Kevlar e fibra de vidro, e que pesa 55 kg. A carroceria, de 57 kg, é inteiramente removível. O peso total do veículo é de apenas 400 kg.

A ATS diz que o motor a ser usado pode ser o mesmo equipado em motocicletas da Honda, Kawasaki, MV Agusta, Suzuki, Yamaha ou qualquer outro de quatro cilindros em linha. A transmissão sequencial possui seis marchas, com a impulsão do eixo traseiro sendo feita por corrente, e o diferencial é um Quaife ATB de deslizamento limitado. A suspensão é do tipo double wishbone, com amortecedores totalmente ajustáveis e com barras estabilizadoras na dianteira e na traseira.

Quanto ao quesito segurança, a coluna de direção foi projetada para se quebrar em colisões frontais, os cintos de segurança são de seis pontos, da marca Sparco, o tanque é de alumínio, com um sistema de proteção contra explosões e um sistema de colisão frontal Honeycomb.

O sistema de frenagem possui freios com pinças de seis pistões em todas as rodas. O ATS Sport 1000 é capaz de produzir 1.150 kg de downforce e 4G de aceleração lateral, e já está disponível para compra, ao preço de 25.000 euros.

50 years after its creation, the ATS is reborn and presents its new sportscar: the ATS SPORT 1000.
The ATS SPORT 1000 recreates the typical characteristics of a racing sportscar of the sixties, simplicity and lightness, but with technology, aerodynamics and performance of modern sportscar. The chassis is made of stainless steel, paneled in aluminum, and only weighs 55kg while the body completely removable in 5 minutes is made of GRP and weighs 57 kg.

The two-seater SPORT 1000 can be powered with a bike engine, be it Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha or any other inline 4-cylinder. The transmission is a chain drive and the limited slip differential is a Quaife ATB. The suspensions are double wishbones with Teflon bushes and uniballs, with fully adjustable shock absorbers, while the custom design hubs are made from CNC billet aluminum. The SPORT 1000 also has anti-roll bars front and rear.

For the safety, the SPORT 1000 comes equipped with a front Honeycomb crash box, a 50mm rollbar, an aluminum tank with explosafe, Sparco 6-point belts and collapsible steering column.
The Tarox brake system with 6-piston calipers front and rear guarantee incredible stopping while the Tilllet B2 seat offers the best comfort and lateral support to the driver even in bends to 3g of lateral grip.

The ATS SPORT 1000 weighs just 400kg and with semi-slick or slick tires and aerodynamic downforce of 1150 kg, guarantees records for its class. The extractor specifically studied in the wind tunnel offers superior performance of any competitor in the same price range.

The ATS SPORT 1000 is ideal for competing in hill climbing races, club race or one make series. But ATS also made a special version of "road legal" SPORT 1000 dedicated to amateur drivers who loves track days around the world.
