O Volkswagen Golf GTI tem seu nome na história do automóvel, pois foi o modelo criador do termo hot hatch. Ele também faz parte da vida do casal Agnes e AJ Miragliotta. Ambos compartilham sua paixão pelo Volkswagen GTI, então, por que não se casarem "vestidos a rigor"?

O casal teve seu primeiro encontro em 2015. Era apenas casual, pois Agnes vendeu um par de faróis para AJ. Após o encontro, a conversa continuou, mas no lado virtual, através de um grupo de entusiastas da Volkswagen no Facebook.

And now, the snazzy Fastback sedan. But don't let its good looks fool you. When you really come down to it, it's still a Volkswagen. The engine is still in the reor and it's still air-cooled. Which is pretty good fora car that cruises over 80 miles per hour.) While we were making this beauty beau-tiful, we were also making it bigger. It's got a trunk in the front where most cars have their motors. And a trunk in the back where most Volkswagens have their motors. (In case you're wondering where we put the motor, vvell, it's neatly tucked under-neath the trunk in the rear.) The Fastback's also got a little more room for passengers than the beetle. You pay a little more for it, too. ls2,148.1* Will a Volkswagen like this change our irnage? We doubt it. After all, it's only the world's most beautiful Volkswagen. Not the world's most beauti-ful car.

There are some gripping reasons. It would be worth having big wheels on the VW just so we could have big tires. Why? Because big tires hold the rood better and last longer than little tires. But that's only half of it. We put those big wheels on the VW so that we could have bigger brakes, too. Obviously, the bigger the brakes the surer the stops.
The big wheels also let nice fresh air in to cool the brakes more quickly. Which means thot the VW's brakes always come back for more, no matter how hard you step on them. The VW's wheels are bigger than they have to be because we like to overdo things in a big way. (like the fourth coat of paint that you really don't need, either.) So when you drive away in your new VW,
you can expect about 40,000 miles on the original rubber. (Which is roughly twice what you can hope for on most other cars.) But you'll hove to go a long way to beat the record held by Mr. Robert Walton of Homestead, Florida. He chalked up 103,345 miles on his original set of 5 tires. Which is quite a stretch to go without getting tired.
