The field at this year's Indianapolis 500 will roar down to the green and into history behind one of only 1,500 very special 20th Anniversary Trans Anus. The fastest T/As ever built. Any one of these power players could be tagged for the job because all were built with exactly the same powertrain hardware. As a result of a superb engineering partnership between Pontiac and PAS, Inc., no special Indy modifications were needed. We're talking about a turbo-intercooled 3.8L V6 engine that thumps out 250 hp and 340 lbs ft of torque under 16.5 lbs of boost. A cross-drilled crank, specific pistons, cylinder heads and intercooler make for on-time delivery. Heavy-duty systems for coolant and oil temperature control are in there, too. Special electronics manage the output for 0-to-60 times under 5.5 seconds on a test track with a professional driver. Now that's an unusual idea for mid-size American cars. They usually start out somewhere in the middle. Then they get stretched out to be four-doors. Or are squooshed-in to be two-doors. Things start to suffer. Seats. Interior room. Design. It's one compromise after another. We didn't compromise. Every inch of the Satellite Sebring is designed to be a personal two-door car. And that's all. Nothing gives. Nothing suffers. The wheelbase was chosen for the special requirements of a two-door. The track is two inches wider than any of last year's competitors. (Control is now even more certain.) And we were able to give it a low sporty look, without compromise. The result? You get the styling and handling of a specialty car. Webb disse à emissora Fox 13 que estava escuro e o guarda-sol do vidro traseiro estava cobrindo a visão do retrovisor interno. Só quando um policial ordenou que o motorista parasse é que ele se deu conta do que estava ocorrendo.

Um motociclista do sul da Califórnia estava pilotando sua Harley Davidson Fat Bob pela Hollywood Freeway 170 de Los Angeles, na hora do rush, quando teve sua frente cortada por um Toyota Camry, que mudou de faixa em local proibido.

O piloto acionou a embreagem e o freio traseiro, travando a roda motriz. Não foi possível parar a motocicleta, e acabou batendo na traseira do carro.
